Roma, Share your experience of David with us.

Roma Heer:  David is not so good result of well written & well intentioned story. It charms in parts but most of the duration it gives you nothing else than continous loop of yawn.

Gautam Batra: What is the plot of movie?

Roma Heer: Story revolves around three  guys of three different generations living in three different parts of world with one thing in common i.e. name.

1975 London: David [Neil Nitin Mukesh] works for Iqbal Ghani, a dreaded Mafia don. He is a protégé who is poised to take over the empire until a revelation changes the course of his future.
1999 Mumbai: David [Vinay Virmani] is a musician born into a family of devout Christians. He is a happy-go-lucky teenager who loses all semblance of his peaceful existence when his family gets dragged into a political issue.
2010 Goa: David [Vikram] is a fisherman who falls in love with Roma [Isha Sharwani]. The only hitch is that she is engaged to be married to his best friend Peter.

How a decision they are going to take changes their life completely is what Bejoy Nambiar has to tell with David.

Gautam Batra: Please explain something more about Script and tell us about the Screenplay?

Roma Heer: Bejoy Nambiar & Natasha Sahgal’s screenplay as i stated earlier is entertaining & gripping in parts. First thing first the three stories of all three Davids are beautifully written, best of the all being Vikram’s story. It has several entertaining, lovable & beautiful sequences. The romantic angle of Vikram & Isha is really very good. Witnessing the superb chemistry you really feel the emotions & want them to get along.

On the flipside Neil Nitin Mukesh & Vinay Virmani’s stories are added with some flaws also. The character of Neil which begins on a very stylish & impressive note becomes so lame & confusing at a point that whole atmosphere becomes dull. His character is so much confused of his real identity and demands sympathy, but the sad part is that audience sympathy goes only with Neil but not his character.

Vinay’s part takes so much time to generate interest but once it gets the required interest it never loses the momentum. Dialogues are appropriate.

Gautam Batra: How were the Performances & Direction?

Roma Heer: Neil Nitin Mukesh has given a thunderous performance. He looks stylish, handsome and acts very well. Vikram also did a splendid job and is lovable specially in the romantic scenes. Last David Vinay Virmani suits the role and is worth the praise. Monica Dogra impresses big time yet again after a promising debut with Dhobi Ghat. Tabu is lovable & gets into the skin of her character. Lara Dutta charms up the screen with small performance. Isha Sharwani looks beautiful and does a commendable job. Others lend good support.

Bejoy Nambiar’s direction to three different stories is outstanding.

Gautam Batra: Brief us about Music & other Technical Aspects

Roma Heer: Music is just fantastic with almost every song having a pleasing appeal & sound. Lyrics are nice & meaningful. Background score is nice.Cinamatography is very good. Sreekar Prasad’s editing is crisp. Production Values are excellent.

    1.  Story & Direction

    2. Music

    3. Performances

    Bad Points:
