Guddu Rangeela is a story of Rangeela (Arshad Warsi) and Guddu (Amit Sadh) who are orchestra duo in Haryana and work as Khabris for goons. Hell breaks in their life when they have to kidnap Baby (Aditi Rao Hydari) a deaf and mute girl only to know later that she is perfectly alright and has plans against killer of her sister Billo (Ronit Roy) who is a politician. What happens thereafter and the background of Rangeela makes the rest part of story.
Screenplay of the film is quite average and looks the example of lazy work. Leave aside the comedy scenes and dialogues there is hardly anything to impress. The biggest problem is the confusion of genre. At an interval it looks like a serious issue based film but at an interval it becomes a silly commercial entertainer. The audience fails to understand how they have to react. The climax is further very irritating.
Performances wise, Arshad Warsi is the highlight of film. He acts with effortless easy and simply hilarious. Amit Sadh is decent. Aditi Rao Hydari has small role but looks effective. Ronit Roy is uneffective and repeated.
Film is technically not very strong also. Cinematography is not good. Editing is lazy and Music is average kind.
In short, Guddu Rangeela is half baked incomplete entertainer. The film falls short of expectations.
